First Impressions

The First Impressions Team is the group of friendly individuals who help create a hospitable environment on Sunday nights. Through greeting, preparing coffee, hosting the Connect table, and following up with folks, this team makes all who attend feel welcomed and connected at Vintage.

Connect Table
Come help us set up and tear down the Connect area each week. This team transforms Central’s entryway into a welcome area by displaying & communicating all info that Vintage has to offer the community. We would love your input as we strive to get folks connected!

Connect (Follow-Up)
Our goal is to get everyone connected at Vintage, and we’re looking for some folks who will follow-up with those who fill out Connect Cards to allow them to get plugged into community, ministry teams, and other events at our Church.

Road Crew

The Road Crew is our team of dedicated folks who set up/ run/ and tear down all the equipment necessary for our Sunday Night Services. We’re looking for people who are interested in helping us out in the following ways:

Communion / Environment
Are you passionate about the Lord’s Supper and want folks to truly celebrate Communion each week? If so, you can be a part of the group responsible for setting up the Communion tables at Vintage Church. We need folks willing to arrive around 5:00 to set up the Communion and Offering Tables, and tear them down after church.

Creative Encounters

The Creative Encounters Team welcomes artists and creative minds of all genres including: writers, musicians, filmmakers, photographers, painters and even those occasional dabblers. This group is for those who would like to use their gifts to craft Sunday night services. We meet the 1st Thursday night of the month to brainstorm.

Art / Experience
If you are an artist or just plain creative, we would love to have your input at our Creative Encounters Team meetings. Put your skills to work as we design new and engaging services. We create everything visual, from interactive projects with the entire church, to individual graphic designs for our PowerPoint. All designing at Vintage Church starts here.

Media Team
If you have a love for creative communication through media then this team is the right place to be involved at Vintage! The Media Team is responsible for all that happens on the screen during the Sunday services. As a member of the media team, you’ll set up and run a program called Media Shout on the Sundays you are scheduled.

Video Team
Vintage is always looking for talent in the video arena. Take part in the Creative Encounters Team meeting and use your skills to put together montages, original shorts, and mini documentaries tailored to fit a specific series.

Operations Team

The Operations Team provides a strong organizational foundation for Vintage and is in charge of our web site, financial tracking stewardship, and administration.

Web Team
Do you have a geeky side? Are you internet savvy? Our web team is in need of social media enthusiasts, designers and programmers (especially those familiar with PHP) who can offer input on extending Vintage’s online presence as well as brainstorm ways to continually improve our website.

Financial Tracking
Our commitment is to always be financially accountable and above reproach, and we can use honest people (with or without a finance background) to help ensure that our tithes and giving statements are always accurate and sent out by mail or email every quarter in a timely fashion.

We believe at Vintage that we have been blessed in order to be a blessing to others, to Lawrence, and to the World. If you’re interested in helping us create a Missional Community at Vintage, this team is for you:

Do you have an interest in serving the community of Lawrence? Our primary strategy is to equip and engage our House-Groups and Discipleship groups in ministry opportunities in our City. Additionally, we provide periodic serving opportunities for our Church community in Lawrence.

Children’s Ministry

We want to facilitate the development of a foundation for a life-long
personal relationship with Jesus in Vintage kids, and are
looking for folks to join us by serving monthly in the following important

Infant-Toddler Room
If you enjoy 0-2 year-olds, we could use your skills of nurturing these little ones through holding, playing, and teaching short Bible lessons!

We are looking for volunteers to teach and assist
in our pre-school room (ages 3-kindergarten) and
elementary room (ages 1st-6th grade). We have outstanding

Flexible & On-Call Volunteers

Flexible volunteers help greeters and fill in wherever
needed on any given Sunday night. On-call volunteers are scheduled once
every 6-8 weeks to be available as last minute substitutes or additional
volunteers in case of high attendance. This is a great first step in
serving at Vintage!

Children’s Greeters
Greeters welcome visitors, help check in children,
and make sure that they make it to the correct classrooms. They return
at the end of the service to help children check-out and clean-up.

Supply Managers & Administrative Assistants
As we grow, we are in need of some help with keeping track of our inventory of supplies, preparing supplies for Sunday nights, and shopping. We are also growing in our need for some administrative help- this job is undefined at this point but might include sending emails, entering information into a database, and/or keeping class lists up to date.

College Ministry
Vintage college ministry is about living missional lives together, serving the church, and engaging our city as authentic disciples of Jesus Christ.

At Vintage, we take community seriously by growing closer to intimacy with God and growing in authentic relationships with one another.

Prayer Chain
We are looking for people who believe prayer matters and is necessary for believers, individually and corporately, as the Body of Christ. Prayer requests from Vintage attendees are emailed to the prayer chain. Prayer chain members are asked to set aside time to pray for requests as they are received.
