Rooted In Jesus
At Vintage Church we are committed to the authority of God in scripture, and seek to root our understanding and application of the Bible in the cruciform character of Jesus as the exact representation of God’s heart, mind, character and being, through the grace and power of the Holy Spirit.
We seek to unite around Jesus’ life, ministry, teaching, victory over sin and death, and around the foundational convictions of the historic Christian faith.
On all other matters, we encourage loving conversation in the context of community and welcome respectful disagreement in the process. We have a wide range of thoughts and perspectives on a variety of doctrinal specifics, but try to hold those views with open hands, not requiring everyone to stand in unilateral agreement on them as a litmus test for involvement in the Vintage Church family.

The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God: the Father, the Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, maker of all that is, seen and unseen;
We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only son of God, eternally begotten of the Father; God from God, Light of Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, of one being with the Father; through him all things were made; for us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate through the Virgin Mary, and was made man; for our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered death, and was buried; on the third day he rose again, in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven, where he is seated at the right hand of the Father; he will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom of peace will have no end;
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father; with the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified; he has spoken through the prophets;
We believe in one holy, Catholic (universal) and Apostolic Church; We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins; we look for a resurrection of the body, and the life of the age to come.
Amen.

Amen.

Trinity Icon
As reflected in the creedal statements above, and as you'll find on our Vision and Values page, the confession of the Christian Trinity lies at the very center of all we are and all we do at Vintage. This modern icon by artist Scott Erickson beautifully illustrates this concept, a mystery we acknowledge we cannot prove, but one we embrace and confess with gratitude. For more info on this subject, or if you have questions along these lines, you can check out the hilarious video below, or feel free to drop our Lead Pastor Deacon Godsey a note and he'll be happy to discuss it with you (it's his favorite subject)!
