- Fosters respectful dialogue and disagreement
- Invites questions and encourages healthy curiosity
- Is a M.A.S.H. unit for the religiously/spiritually wounded
- Loves/welcomes kids as full participants in the church
- Takes the bible seriously, not always literally
- Values shades of mystery over black/white certainty
